Technology is overcoming communication barriers in health care

Technology is helping when it comes to overcoming communication barriers in health care by using computers which are lined to the hospital database. This database contains all the patients’ history which lets all the medical team treat the patient better. The technology allows the nurse to collaborate and communicate with other medical staff, and makes workflows more organized making efforts more efficient and accurate. Thus, the use of information systems helps nurses make fewer mistakes and provide more organized and efficient care of the patient.

Nurses today are using information technology across disciplines and areas of care to improve all aspects of patient care. This technology provides information quickly and in an organized fashion, which enables the nurse to be apprised of all aspects of care.
